Brian McDougall is the Chairman and also a Board member of the Udny Community Wind Turbine Company Ltd. Brian was born in Aberdeen and lived in Dyce with his wife and three boys before they all moved to Brighton in 1987 to further his career. In 2004 he took early retirement from his position as one of BT’s Senior Planning Managers (Fibre). Brian and his wife returned to the North East in 2005 and settled in Pitmedden. He subsequently joined the Udny Community Council, where he is now secretary, and took a very active part in arranging the community consultation events for both “Planning for Real” and the public consultation involved with obtaining planning permission for the Community Wind Turbine. This also involved working with both Pitmedden and Udny Green Primary schools to better involve them in the project. Brian is also part of the NHSInvolve team and played a key role in obtaining public opinion regarding the proposed loss of dispensing services in the Haddo Medical Group.
