The majority of UCTC funding comes directly from the Udny Wind Turbine Company and this enables us to operate day to day and to offer a ‘Grant Awards Scheme’. This is open to local groups wishing to apply for funding and details can be found ‘here’.
In addition, UCTC sometimes applies for funding from external funding providers such as the National Lottery. Any successful funding bids will be used to fund specific projects such as ‘Imagine Udny’ or for the purchase of new community assets.
Details of successful bids are listed below.
Grant funding is available to community groups or projects that can show they provide benefit to the community of Udny.
We do not fund individuals or private organisations/ businesses. All the groups or projects that we fund must be charitable in nature even if they are not recognised charities.
By this we mean that what the group or project does should be compatible with the charitable purposes set out in Scottish charity law.
For more information on charitable purposes please see guidance on the Charity Test from the
Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator.
