Udny Community Trust

Big Lottery - Growing Community Assets
UCTC received a grant from the Big Lottery Fund in Scotland’s Growing Community Assets Programme between 2011 and 2016.

This funding  supported the refurbishment of 3 Oldmeldrum Road as our office and a community space for meetings and exhibitions.  Growing Community Assets funding also supported the costs of employing a Development Officer and Project Administrator both part-time until March 2016.

UCTC also completed work on these specific outcomes as part of our Growing Community Assets project:

  1. The community of Udny will be more enterprising and self reliant through ownership of a wind turbine which will generate £2m in community funds over 20 years.
  2. Educational, recreational and social opportunities will be improved.
  3. Life skills and learning opportunities will be improved.
  4. Fuel poverty will be reduced.
