Welcome to Udny Community Trust!
We exist to help the community of Udny to develop and are working hard to transform local facilities to best serve the needs and wishes of Udny.
Udny is a rural community in Aberdeenshire which includes the villages of Pitmedden, Udny Green and Hattoncrook.
We are mainly funded by our subsidiary organisation, Udny Community Wind Turbine Company, which manages the community owned wind turbine at Tillymaud (just outside of Pitmedden going towards Aberdeen). The funds produced from selling locally produced clean energy are ploughed back into the community.
We are based at The Medan Centre at 14 Oldmeldrum Road in Pitmedden along with our successful community cafe, Cafe48. Our Office Manager is Ruth Cluness. Ruth can be contacted by telephoning 01651 843776 or by emailing manager@udnycommunitytrust.org.uk for all things Trust related.
Udny Community Fund 2025
The Udny Community Fund is offering four rounds of funding in 2025. Applications will be considered at the February, May, August and November UCTC Board Meetings.

Grampian Wellbeing Festival
We've got lots going on at The Medan Centre for Grampian Wellbeing Festival, running 1-31 May, to support your mental health and wellbeing. You can find our activities and events in the official Aberdeenshire festival guide here.
UCTC Long Walk
We have a long guided walk on the last Thursday of every month, exploring the local area and often visiting a local attraction, heritage site or place of interest. On 29th May we're visiting the Udny Woodturners Club, via Fishers Walk.
A Warm Space
The Medan Centre is part of Aberdeenshire's Warm Space initiative. Drop into the Quarry Room Monday-Friday, 9am-3pm and have a cuppa on the house. Board games, books and blether included!
