We want to say a massive thank you to all the volunteers, community groups and visitors who made the Udny Community Christmas Fayre a day to remember! We had so much fun and we couldn't have done it without you all.
Thank you to stallholders Formartine Youth Project, Udny Community Council, Udny Climate Action, Udny Paths Group, Threads & Yarns, Udny Community Shelf, Friends of Pitmedden School (FOPS), Pitmedden Tiny Tots Playgroup, Good Companions, Udny Green Primary School and 1st Udny Guides. Thank you to local councillors Jenny Nicol, Andrew Hassan and Derek Ritchie for coming along and for their dedicated efforts to support and represent our community, and to Harriet Cross MP for counting down to the Big Switch On by Formartine Youth Project! Thank you to the Swap Shop team for receiving, sorting, organising and reorganising all the generously donated items, keeping everything looking on point and making a huge impact in creating a sustainable, circular local economy! Thank you to Cycling Without Age Oldmeldrum for bringing Santa to the Fayre in eco-friendly festive style! Thank you to Mr Santa Claus himself, and his fantastic elves for spending time with us at the Fayre to spread joy to the children of Udny. Thank you to Munro the Highland Cow for his energy and enthusiasm, entertaining us all with some great moves! Thank you to UCTC Directors Brian, Julian, David and Sue and volunteer Chris for marshalling the event and keeping everyone safe and happy! Thank you to Cafe48 for providing free mulled wine, mince pies and shortbread to warm everyone for the Christmas lights countdown! Thank you to those who helped behind the scenes preparing the site and the village for the big day, including Wullie, Sandy, Brian, PTM Plant, Andrew Wilson, Tracy Grant and the Pitmedden Christmas Lights Trust. And we are ever grateful for ALL our volunteers at the Trust who helped in ways big and small to put on this free family event and bring joy to the Udny community. You are all amazing!
