That's a wrap on the Create from Waste competition for this year.
A massive thank you to our judges, Annie Grant, Steve Murison and Chris McGeachie, who are all local artists who took time out to come and judge the competition.
You overwhelmed us with just over 60 entries this year and the standard was high. Some of the judges comments included:
- the amount of effort, skill and team work.
- a lot of work went into that.
- cocktail sticks, I'd never have thought of that', very clever.
- creative and inspirational.
- love the little theatre.
- love the character of the robot.
- love the made up character.
- I want to buy that work of art.
- breath taking.
- Being creative is in your core, inspirational and magical, very special.
- Everything is so different - how do we choose.
A massive well done to our prize winners this year and thank you to everyone who came along to the prize giving. Every entry has a certificate attached to it with judges comments. We'd love for you to come along and pick up your entries and certificates Wed, Thu or Fri this week, just pop into the Quarry Room between 9.15am and 3.00pm.
Next year we hope to do it all again! This time the judges have requested that we add an Academy and Adult category - watch this space!
