Brian McDougall - Chairman
Brian has been the Chair of the Udny Community trust since 2011.
Prior to this Brian played a key role in the provision of the community wind turbine along with 4 colleagues. He led the “Planning for Real” consultation exercises which commenced in 2008 and continued through to 2012 and this led to gaining valuable information on what the community desired. This work involved a close involvement with both our Primary schools where he and a colleague, tutored pupils on green energy. Brian also played a key role in obtaining public opinion regarding the loss of dispensing services in the Haddo Medical Group Area.
Brian retired from his Senior Planning Manager (Fibre) role in South East England during 2004 and returned to North East Scotland in 2005 with his wife and now resides in Pitmedden. Brian was also Secretary of the Udny Community Council from 2009 until 2019.
